FAQs

What is wellness coaching?

Wellness coaching is an educational and complementary form of support for people who want to look beyond their symptoms, understand root causes, and learn ways to support their wellbeing.

Wellness coaching is not medical care and does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or cure any condition.

Who do you work with?

I primarily support women who are navigating chronic symptoms, who are looking for answers beyond the symptoms themselves and want to understand what may be contributing to their health challenges.

My advanced training focuses on women’s wellness, but men are welcome as well.

What kinds of concerns do you support?

Many clients come to me with ongoing symptoms that may be affecting their quality of life, such as fatigue, digestive discomfort, brain fog, sleep challenges, unexplained weight gain, acne, migraines, dizziness, difficulty coping, neurological, autoimmune, or other persistent symptoms.

My role isn’t to diagnose or treat medical conditions. My work centers on educating you about root causes of chronic symptoms and helping you connect that information to what may be happening within your body.

What is your approach to wellness?

My approach is rooted in the belief that symptoms provide valuable clues about what the body needs.

Rather than viewing symptoms in isolation, I look at the bigger picture and focus on understanding root causes and making connections. From there, I help you consider information and approaches that help you better support yourself.

Do you follow the Medical Medium approach?

My personal wellness journey was deeply influenced by the work of Anthony Wiiliam, often known as Medical Medium. His work has become an important foundation of the nutrition and wellness education I provide.

You do not need to be familiar with Medical Medium before working with me. However, because his work is the foundation of my approach, I do ask that clients be open to learning about his information and consider new ways of understanding health and symptoms.

As we work together, I can help you connect what you’re learning to what you’re experiencing, answer questions, and put new information into practice. I can also help you work through information that may feel complex or unfamiliar along the way.

Do you diagnose medical conditions?

No. I do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or provide medical advice.

If you have a medical condition or health concerns, I encourage you to work with a qualified healthcare professional. Wellness coaching is designed to complement—not replace—appropriate medical care.

How are sessions conducted?

My coaching sessions are conducted by phone.

Many clients appreciate the simplicity of phone sessions because they can focus on the conversation without the distractions that can sometimes come with video meetings.

Virtual accommodations may be available upon request.

What can I expect during the Initial Wellness Consultation?

Your Initial Wellness Consultation is a comprehensive session where we review your health and wellness history, current concerns, lifestyle habits, goals, and any information you have already gathered on your wellness journey.

We’ll identify areas of focus and discuss practical next steps that align with your individual needs and goals.

Because everyone’s situation is different, the consultation is personalized to you and where you are right now.

What happens after my Initial Wellness Consultation?

Your Initial Wellness Consultation is the starting point for our work together. From there, you can choose to continue with individual Wellness Support Sessions or explore one of my ongoing support packages.

We’ll determine what makes the most sense based on your goals, needs, and the level of support you’re looking for.

Do I need to purchase a package?

No. You may choose to schedule individual Wellness Support Sessions after your Initial Wellness Consultation.

Ongoing support can provide more time to ask questions, work through what you’re learning, make adjustments, and build new habits gradually. The choice is yours based on the kind support you’re looking for.

Will you tell me exactly what to eat?

Rather than providing rigid meal plans, I focus on nutrition education and helping you understand the principles behind the choices you’re making.

We can discuss options, strategies, and resources that fit your circumstances and support the direction you want to take your nutrition.

How often should I schedule sessions?

There is no one schedule that works for everyone. The frequency of sessions can depend on your goals, the level of support you’re looking for and what feels manageable for you.

We can discuss what makes sense for you during your Initial Wellness Consultation.

Can I ask questions between sessions?

Wellness guidance and individualized support are provided during scheduled sessions. Email and text communication are intended for scheduling and other practical matters related to your appointments and are not used to provide individualized wellness guidance or recommendations between sessions.

If you have a question, concern, or update you’d like to discuss between appointments, you are welcome to schedule a Quick Questions Session so we can give it the time and attention it deserves.

How long does it take to see changes?

When you’re navigating chronic symptoms, your experience may evolve as you learn more about your body, make changes, and discover what works best for you. Because individual experiences vary, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes or timelines.

Is wellness coaching covered by insurance?

Wellness coaching is generally not covered by health insurance.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

How do I get started?

The best place to begin is with a complimentary Discovery Call. This brief conversation gives us an opportunity to discuss your goals, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether my coaching approach is a good fit for your needs.
